About Michael Lepp

President and owner of ZoneOne Human Performance and Director of Athletics at Joe Gibbs Racing.

Dad, teacher, coach, exercise/physiologist, human performance geek, voracious reader of everything, independent film buff, anything Apple (3 MacBooks, iPad, iPhone, iPod video, AppleTV), checklist junkie and music (over 5000 songs on iTunes)….

Currently problem solving on the human performance component of motor sports and embarking on a period of self-experimentation and exploration on my own body. As I get older, I never get tired of meeting so many new and interesting people outside of my original field of training. Life is good.

Crazy sense of humor AND a Mac guy? My kind of people!

But if I had realized that being a crazy, fiddle playing Beaver would land me a better job, I’d have taken music lessons and grown fur.

How does a person that has been in the racing sport for a few years get a chance to try out for an organization such as joe gibbs?

    • Michael says:

Wow. I should check this more often. Very good question. I pride myself in giving anyone who shows up at my door a chance. 2 of our current pit crew just showed up at our gate one day. Having heart and mental toughness is probably as important as physical ability.

    Wow Mike!

    A guy just like me:D

I’d love to get to know you better and start going back and forth on exercise phys. etc. Let’s stay in touch:D

  4. Michael: Love your blog and this bio. Would like to see a few big photos of you, though – i think your readers need a face to go with the cool graphics and wicked list of accomplishments. Over 5,000 songs on iTunes, huh? How about being my blog’s Resident Curator of Cool Songs No One’s Discovered Yet – or something like that? The Daily Download needs a fresh approach. The job is yours if you’d like it. Susan :-)
